Meridia, the Capital of Yucatan

Colonial City Meets Cosmopolitan Amentities

Meridia is the Capital of Yucatan and is located on the northeast portion of the Penninsula. This beautiful city offers visitors a modern city with museums, natural attractions, monuments, and white beaches. Area attractions include La Casa de Montejo, The Jose Peon Contreras Theater, The Canton Palace Museum of Anthropology and History, The zone of the Markets where can purchase local produce and handmade items.

In Ka'an Bed and Breakfast is owned and operated by two retired Canadians who, several years ago, fell in love with the Yucatan. The B&B is a happy blending of Mexican architecture and ambiance with Canadian/American standards of comfort. Each comfortable and spacious guest bedroom has a large ensuite bathroom. Enjoy breakfast on the terrace overlooking the gardens or relax with a book by the large swimming pool and 22 meter lap pool. The bus stop is just outside our front door and a 20 minute ride takes you into downtown Merida, where you can shop, site see and take day tours to the fascinating sites of the ancient Mayan pyramids.
